Microphone modes: hold-to-talk vs always-on
Push to talk for back-and-forth, or leave it open for preaching.
3 min read
In meeting-mix situations you can choose how the microphone listens.
- Hold-to-Talk — translation only happens while you hold the button. Best for Q&A, panels, and rooms with crosstalk.
- Always-On — the mic listens continuously. Best for a sermon or single speaker who won't be interrupted.
Tip
Which one?
If one person is speaking for a stretch, use Always-On. If the mic is passing around or there's background noise, Hold-to-Talk keeps the transcript clean.
